Let Us Dive Deeper in M movie review

According to the movie entitled 'M' which Fritz Lang directed under Foremco Picture Corporation Studio, let's look into it way deeper.

I would give 'M' ⅘ since it is such a nice piece that I liked the fact that the film started telling the story that went on until its final. From the start when the children played as they sang, referring to a man with a long black coat and a hat who can come to attack them any minute. Though they were told to never sing such ever, the kids didn't stop which proves how scared of that man they were.

One of those children who were singing then was Elsie Beckmann, and once she came from school, playing her ball, a shadow of a man with a long black coat and a hat appeared and asked her name, she responded and off they went, the man bought her a balloon at the blind man's shop and since then, nobody has ever seen Elsie again.


Having several kids who had been missing and getting killed, the police started searching for the murderer, and they suspected one gang. The murderer started writing letters to the press and so the gang started having some misunderstandings assuming that it might be one of them who is a betrayal. So, they also started finding who the murderer should be.

The very best part is that the message stayed the same in a more artistic way. However much the movie was done in May 1931, it still looks relevant as of the moment. From the beginning to the climax and denouement.

As all concerned parties were looking for the murderer, it brought a lot of pleasure on them, some accusations; like when they accused an old man of being one since they saw him speaking to a very young girl, but if they only knew he was just asking him what the time was. One of the inspectors signed some paper without even reading it as he was busy on a call. Searching everywhere and prosecuting some people with no identification papers, they could also start harassing each other in the meeting with some negative energy.

However, in the middle, there were some silent movements with zero sound and conversation, which can confuse the viewers to question their devices. Having a price raise on Black Friday was surprising too.

Finally, due to the murderer's whistle, the blind man who sold balloons recognized it and told a young man about it. The guy did it very smartly and marked the murderer's back with an 'M' as they assumed that the kid he was with was the next victim. That is how the murderer got to be tracked down and caught. In the end; the story achieved what it wanted to be. The murderer was found, and though the community people wanted him killed, he also had to face the court for justice which he got.
